Rangers bag second win, hat-trick for Oliver-Rose

Women’s Federation League

We had three matches played over the last week with the Round 15 between Isles Construction Massey University FC and OneStaff PN Marist played under lights last Wednesday. Massey scored three first half goals and managed to hang on to win 3-2 after PN Marist got back into the match with two early second half strikes but just couldn’t find the equaliser. The other Round 15 match was hosted by Team McGhie Football Whanganui when they took on league leaders Taradale AFC and it was Whanganui that got their second win of the season 2-1 with a later winner by Eva-Maree Thompson. The Round 11 catch up match between NP Rangers AFC and OneStaff PN Marist was play on Sunday over in Taranaki with Marist napping two late goals to win 2-0 and moving them back to the top of the table although Taradale has a game in hand. Massey had the Bye over the weekend and have two games in hand on Marist so by winning them both could move them up to the summit. The league is now wide open with three teams in contention which makes the conclusion to the season very exciting. 

Lotto Central Federation League 

Watsons PN Marist hosted Havelock North Wanderers in the top of the table battle and it was the home side Marist that secured all three points to join Havelock at the top of the table although Havelock still have a game in hand. Havelock went into the break with a two nil lead but three second half goals got Marist over the line and now back in with a shot at the title. Isles Construction Massey University FC have moved back up into third on the table by beating Waikanae Beach Top10 Gisborne Thistle 2-0 and leap frogging them plus GJ Garner Homes Whanganui Athletic on the table. This is because Athletic went down 2-1 to Peggy Gordons NP Rangers over in Taranaki with Tre De John netting twice for Rangers to get them their second win of the campaign. The final match saw Turbine Residential Ltd North End travel down to Donnelly Park to take on Levin AFC and it was North End that won 2-0 to almost guarantee them a top six finish. Alexander Electric Napier Marist had the Bye and will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Wembley Park to take on Athletic.

Yorb Taranaki Men’s Premiership

Rampage Fitness remain undefeated and on top of the table after they won 5-0 away at Proglaze Waitara with a hat trick to Connor Oliver-Rose. TMT Building Ltd Moturoa stay in touching distance after they got all three point when winning 6-1 at home against Peringa United, Corbin Richardson with the brace. Cross Country Rental NPBHS 1st XI continue to run fourth when they secured a big 8-1 when hosting Novotel Woodleigh with Ben Sheridan getting a four goal haul and Scott Manning a double. Cunningham Construction Kaitake have closed the gap to fourth with Smith & Sons Eltham by beating them 2-1 away thanks to two late goals. In the final match Atlas NP Rangers picked up their second win of the season in a thrilling 4-3 win over Inglewood AFC, Ben Senior getting a consolation brace for Inglewood. 

Taranaki Men’s Championship

Peringa Pirates are still on top of the league as they ran out 5-1 winners away at Western Autos Moturoa, Matt Sanger scoring a triple for the Pirates. Second placed Millwards Roofing FC Western were held to a 1-1 draw by third placed Rough Habits Hawera down at Turuturu Park but Western still have a game in hand to catch Peringa. Inglewood continue their great season by getting late winner against TreeHouse NP Rangers to win 2-1. Premier Heating NPBHS 2nd XI picked up a 5-0 home win against Spectrum Decorating Services Ltd Woodleigh with the goals being shared around and the final match ended in a 2-2 draw between Paul Hamlin Builders Eltham and Kaitake FC.  

Taranaki Men’s Division 1

NP Rangers Oddbodz won 3-0 away to KP Joinery Waitara and Withers Coachlines FDMC Senior Team won 1-0 away to Withers Coachlines Moturoa so both teams are still equal on the top of the table with Oddbodz leading by goal difference. Stephen Alderdice bagged four goals in Smart Rehab & Physio Peringa’s 9-0 home win over Wonder Minerals Kaponga and Jeremy Radich bagged three in McDonalds Real Estate Stratford’s 6-1 home win against Landmark Homes FDMC Development Team. Mark Frost Electrical Hawera had the Bye but host FDMC Development in a Round 10 catch up game this weekend. 

Taranaki Men’s Division 2

Taranaki Thru Tubing NP Rangers continue to lead the pack after winning 5-1 when hosting Inglewood AFC, Pipeline Peringa are still in second as they won 6-0 away to Town & Country Foods Waitara, Marty Suchy @Bayleys FC Western got the 4-2 win away at 4U Computer Solutions Hawera and Stratford won 4-0 at home against Taranaki Tyre Torque Woodleigh. Vertech NZ Kaitake HB’s had the Bye and are back in action this weekend away to Inglewood in the Nimmos Cup Quarter Finals.

Tungsten Legal Taranaki Women’s Premiership

New Plymouth Girls’ High School stay in second after winning 7-2 away at Tungsten Legal Stratford but Hipp Accounting Hawera are hot on their tail with two games in hand and winning 8-2 at when hosting Liquid Beanz Peringa, Rachel Porteous rocketing home a five goal glut for Hawera. Naki Electrical Waitara won a hard found match 1-0 at Inglewood AFC and Worley Woodleigh picked up their first win of the season away at Eltham AFC. The final match was defaulted by NP Rangers so Excel Refrigeration Moturoa picked up the 3-0 win.
